I have developed my art style over many years, using many different mediums - including;
Colored pencil, acrylics, pen and ink, oils, oil pastel, and water colors.

Through cartooning as a child, I discovered how to quickly capture the important
elements of figures and scenery to create movement and character.

As an airbrush artist, I developed my use of colors and value.
Working mainly in the studio, I create realism by using many layers of colors
for shading and detail.
I also use a color against color method as opposed to outlining.
These two principles are the basic foundation of my style.
I apply them similarly to each medium to create mood and depth.

My subject matter includes portraits, landscapes, still lifes, abstracts, and wildlife.

Learning mainly through practice and experimentation,
I prefer to capture the essence of a subject through it's simple and subtle details
in a realistic and unarranged setting.

In my spare time I also write and illustrate childrens books.
